One of the founding ideas of Artists Unlimited is to have a guest studio integrated in our house. A space in which an international artist / designer can live and work for 3 months. So far, more than 100 artists and designers from all over the world have received this opportunity.
We offer a studio space (40m²) which is located next door to a private appartment (32m²). Inside, there is a sleeping area,
a kitchen, washing machine and Wi-Fi.
The residency space is located on the first floor of our building, which used to be a paper factory 30 years ago. The studio and the apartment are private, though our guest artists share the floor with two neighbours who also have their private appartments there. Artists Unlimited pays for the monthly rent and grants of 600 Euro a month. Travelling expenses have to be paid for by the artist, though.
By the end of the residency, we encourage all of our guest artists / designers to use the opportunity to present their work in our gallery space.

Application

For the guest scholarships 2024, we will accept applications between the 1st of September and the 1st of October of 2023.
We won’t be able to send out confirmations for applications that reached us success­fully. We can only return the applications if a fully prepared envelope (address & postage) is included. The application can be sent
to us physically or digitally and must include the following:
Printed application

○ Curriculum Vitae (CV), list of exhibitions
○ description about the (art / design) project that should be realized within the duration of the scholarship in Bielefeld
○ 20 DIN-A4 prints (20×30cm) or CDs/DVDs of your artworks (photography, paintings, drawings …) – complete with information about titles, techniques, dimensions and the date of creation for each work.

Stipendium 2024

Eine der ersten Visionen von Artists Unlimited war es, Räumlichkeiten für Gastkünstler*innen im Haus zu integrieren.
Einen Bereich, in dem ein/e internationale/r Künstler*in / Gestalter*in / Designer*in für drei Monate leben und arbeiten kann.
Bisher haben über 100 Künstler*innen und Gestalter*innen aus aller Welt diese Möglichkeit erhalten.
Die Räume bestehen aus einem Atelier (40 qm) und einem Appartement (32 qm)
mit Küche, Waschmaschine und Internet.
Sie befinden sich im ersten Stock des alten Fabrikgebäudes, zusammen mit zwei weiteren Wohn- und Arbeits­bereichen von dauerhaften Bewohner­*innen. Artists Unlimited zahlt monatlich 600 Euro an die/den jeweilige/n Künstler*in. Wir über-
nehmen aller­dings keine Reisekosten.
Zum Abschluss des Aufenthalts hat jeder Gast die Möglichkeit, eine Einzelaus-
stellung in der Artists Unlimited Galerie zu präsentieren.

Bewerbung

Interessenten für das Gaststipendium 2024 können sich zwischen dem 1. September und dem 1. Oktober 2023 (Posteingang bei Artists Unlimited!) bewerben.
Wir versenden keine Eingangsbestätigung. Die Bewerbungsunterlagen schicken wir nur dann zurück, wenn der Bewerbung ein frankierter und adressierter Rückumschlag beiliegt. Die Bewerbung kann per Post oder E-mail erfolgen und muss folgende Unter­lagen enthalten:
